Who we are
A Community Church Open to One and All
The Indian Lake Community Church has a rich history that dates back to 1923 when we began as The Union Sunday School. Ours was truly an ecumenical endeavor by a diverse community of faith. Within a few years, worship services were started and the church began to further evolve. The church began with members from many different denominational backgrounds and many different communities, which is still true of our church family to this day.
ILCC has always welcomed all followers of Jesus Christ into fellowship. One of the major strengths of our church is that our membership comes from diverse theological perspectives. Our requirement for membership is a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
When asked to name the single greatest commandment in the law, “Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Following Jesus’ instructions, our mission as a church is to obey that commandment as we strive to enrich lives through the love of Jesus Christ and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Together in this fashion, we endeavor to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel to all people
We offer a Traditional Service, Contemporary Service, Youth Program, and Coffee Shop.
